Furniture consignment gives you a supported way to sell pieces you no longer need without handling every message, showing, negotiation, and payment yourself. At Cadie's Corner in Hattiesburg, we select quality furnishings, style them in our showroom, market them to local shoppers, and manage the sale for you.

Start with clear photos

Before moving anything, text clear photos to 601.550.4406. Include the front, sides, and any important details or flaws. Measurements, the brand, age, and a little history can also help our team decide whether the piece is a good fit for the showroom.

Furniture must be approved before it is brought to the store. This saves you time and helps us maintain the quality and mix our shoppers expect.

We inspect, price, and present

Once an approved piece arrives, our team checks its condition, creates the inventory record, and determines a selling price based on style, condition, demand, and the current market. We then place it in a thoughtfully styled room setting so shoppers can imagine it in their own homes.

New consignors open an account in person with a valid photo ID. A one time $10 setup fee is deducted from the first sales.

The selling period and split

The standard consignment term at Cadie's Corner is 90 days. During that period, 60% of the net sales price goes to Cadie's Corner and 40% is credited to the consignor when the item sells.

An optional 30 day extension is available. During the extension, the split changes to 70% for Cadie's Corner and 30% for the consignor.

Why people choose consignment

Consignment is especially helpful when you are downsizing, moving, settling an estate, clearing a storage unit, or refreshing a room. You keep the opportunity to earn money from your furniture while a local team handles the work of presenting and selling it.

  • No arranging meetings with strangers
  • No answering repeated marketplace messages
  • Professional showroom presentation
  • An established audience already shopping for furniture
